Holiday and Winter Fun

We were so busy the week before break... we didn't hardly get any pictures!  Here are a few things we did to prepare for the holidays and winter.

Students made Christmas ornaments to give to their parents.  They painted pinecones with white paint and then chose a glitter color.  They rolled their pine cone with glitter and once it dried we attached a bow to the top so it could be hung on the tree.  They turned out great!

Students also got to perform for the whole school during the Winter Concert.  Our music teacher Mr. Marks does a great job with the kids!  The were awesome.  Unfortunately our night concert got canceled due to the snow... but they still did great!

We also read several stories and  made snowmen.  This seems like such a simple activity, however, the students were just given construction paper and the had to cut out everything by themselves.  Each snowman was very unique.

Although we didn't get any pictures of our Elf on the Shelf... we did have one.  The kids named him Candy Cane.  Each day he would be in a new place in our room (somewhere very high up this year!) and he would leave treats for boys and girls who were caught making good choices at school.  Candy Cane made us laugh everyday until break!

We hope you all had a great month of December and a wonderful holiday too!
